The Code of Honor — Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Mind the Mafia pre-launch website at mindthemafia.com (the “Site”), including the Early Access waitlist and the Founders’ Pass pre-order. The Site is operated by the Mind the Mafia development team (“we”, “us”). By using the Site, joining the waitlist, or buying a Founders’ Pass, you accept these terms. The game itself is in development and will carry its own terms of service when it launches.
1. The waitlist
Joining the Early Access waitlist is free. It gets you onto our contact list for Early Access invitations and launch news — nothing more, nothing less. A place on the waitlist does not guarantee access to the game on any particular date, in any particular region, or at all; Early Access rollout may be staged. You can leave the waitlist at any time by writing to contact@mindthemafia.com.
2. The Founders' Pass
The Founders’ Pass is a one-time pre-launch purchase. Payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC as the merchant of record — the checkout, payment methods, taxes, invoicing, and card handling are theirs, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction alongside these terms.
Pass perks (priority Early Access, the Founders’ Mark badge, the founding-ledger credit, the private Founders’ channel invite, and the sworn-faction cosmetic) unlock when Early Access goes live. Because the game is in active development, we may adjust how a perk is delivered, but we will not remove a purchased perk without offering a refund.
Refunds: you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked, by contacting contact@mindthemafia.com or through Lemon Squeezy. This does not limit any statutory withdrawal or consumer rights you hold under applicable law.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't submit email addresses that aren't yours to control.
- Don't attempt to bypass the anti-bot protections, probe, overload, or disrupt the Site or its backing services.
- Don't scrape the Site for bulk data collection or use it to send spam.
4. Intellectual property
Mind the Mafia, the “The Underworld Starts Next Door” slogan, and all artwork, copy, design, and other content on the Site are owned by us or our licensors. All rights reserved. You may not reproduce or exploit Site content commercially without our written permission. Faction names and game-world material are fictional; any resemblance to real organizations is thematic fiction, not affiliation.
5. Pre-launch disclaimer
The Site describes a game that is still being built. Features, dates, artwork, faction mechanics, and roadmap phases are targets, not promises, and may change or be cut. The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (for waitlist-only visitors, zero). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
7. Changes, governing law, contact
We may update these terms as the project evolves; the “last updated” date above will change and material changes will be announced on the Site. These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Questions go to contact@mindthemafia.com.
